Eligibility for Use
Amro sets clear eligibility requirements for its users to maintain a safe and legally compliant environment. Individuals must be at least 13 years of age to create an account and use the platform, although some jurisdictions may require a higher minimum age. For users under the age of 18, parental or guardian consent is expected. These age restrictions ensure that the platform remains appropriate for its intended audience and complies with international standards related to data privacy and child protection.

Creating and Maintaining an Account
Access to many of Amro's features requires the creation of a personal user account. In doing so, users must provide accurate and truthful information. Users are solely responsible for all activities and transactions conducted through their account, including the purchase and gifting of virtual currency. Any unauthorized use of your account or suspicious activity related to virtual currency transactions should be reported to Amro immediately. Amro reserves the right to suspend or terminate any account found to be in violation of its policies or suspected of fraudulent activity.

Content Publishing Policy for the Amro App
In contrast to many short-form content platforms where any user can publish content instantly, the Amro App adopts a curated publishing model designed to maintain content quality, ensure authenticity, and uphold the platform’s core values. This model mandates a pre-approval process for content creators before they are allowed to publish videos or posts to the public.
This approval-first approach serves multiple purposes: it helps promote meaningful content, reduces spam and misinformation, and reinforces Amro’s commitment to community integrity. Once approved, a creator may post freely and without further approval for each individual piece of content. The policy is inclusive and transparent, with clear criteria that any aspiring creator can meet.
Approval Criteria for Publishing Rights
To become an approved publisher on the Amro App, users must meet at least one of the following three criteria:
1. High Follower Base on Other Platforms
Users who have demonstrated influence and reach on other platforms are eligible for publishing rights. Specifically, if a user has more than 200,000 followers on platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, or any other recognized social media channel, they qualify for approval. This criterion is intended to recognize digital influencers and provide a seamless transition for them to Amro.
2. Celebrity or Public Figure Status
Individuals who are recognized celebrities, public figures, or media personalities are automatically eligible for publishing approval. This includes actors, musicians, athletes, TV hosts, or anyone with demonstrable public status. Verification may be conducted through public records or official representation.
3. Social Acknowledgment with Verifiable Proof
Amro values social impact as highly as fame. Therefore, users who are socially acknowledged individuals may gain approval by submitting evidence of recognition from reputable organizations or their local communities. For example, winners or runners-up of awards such as the “Yebego Sew Award” or similar honors qualify, provided they can offer verifiable documentation or a reference from a recognized institution.
Application Process
Users can apply for publishing approval directly within the app by submitting the necessary documentation and selecting the criterion under which they are applying. The Amro moderation team will review each application and respond within a reasonable timeframe. Once a user is approved, they may freely publish content without further review, although community guidelines will continue to apply to each post.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Even after receiving publishing rights, users must continue to adhere to Amro’s community standards and terms of service. The platform retains the right to revoke publishing privileges if a user violates these policies, including the spread of misinformation, engagement in harassment, or posting harmful or illegal content.
User-Generated Content and Rights
A key feature of Amro is the ability for users to create and share content, including videos, comments, and profile information. While users retain ownership of their individual creations, by uploading content to the platform, they grant Amro a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, distribute, display, and reproduce the content in connection with the operation and promotion of the app. This license enables Amro to share user content on its app, website, and affiliated platforms while respecting the original creator’s rights.
Users must ensure that their content does not infringe on any third-party rights or violate local laws. They are expected to refrain from posting illegal, offensive, defamatory, or otherwise inappropriate material. Amro may remove any content that breaches these standards and may take further action, including account suspension.
Acceptable Use Guidelines
To preserve the integrity of the community, Amro enforces strict guidelines regarding user behavior. Prohibited actions include spamming, harassment, impersonation, unauthorized data collection, and the distribution of harmful or malicious software. Users are also expressly prohibited from engaging in any fraudulent activities, including but not limited to, fraudulent purchases of virtual currency, manipulation of the gifting system, or attempts to defraud other users or Amro through the gifting feature. Users are also prohibited from attempting to disrupt the functionality of the app or its servers. Violations of these rules may result in content removal, temporary restrictions, or permanent account termination.
Intellectual Property and Ownership
All intellectual property related to the app—including branding, user interface, design elements, and source code—is owned by Amro or its licensors. Users agree not to copy, alter, distribute, or reverse-engineer any aspect of the platform. This provision protects Amro's proprietary technology and supports continued innovation.
Termination of Access
Users are free to discontinue use of the platform at any time. Amro also reserves the right to terminate or restrict access for individuals who violate the Terms and Conditions, infringe upon intellectual property rights, or pose a threat to the integrity of the platform. In such cases, users lose access to the app and any licenses previously granted.
Liability Disclaimer
Amro is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. The platform does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free functionality, or the absence of harmful components such as viruses. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Amro disclaims all liability for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the app. Amro disclaims all liability for any issues arising from the use of third-party payment processors, including but not limited to transaction errors, security breaches, or data compromises. Users engage with these third-party services at their own risk.
User Indemnification
Users agree to defend and hold harmless Amro, its affiliates, and its personnel against any claims or liabilities that may arise from their use of the app or violation of these Terms. This provision ensures that the platform is protected from legal repercussions resulting from individual user actions.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by and construed per the laws of Ethiopia. Any legal disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with these Terms, or your use of the Amro App, shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, unless otherwise specified or required by mandatory local regulations.

Virtual Currency and Gifting Policy
Amro offers users the opportunity to purchase and use virtual currency ('Coins') within the platform to send virtual gifts to content creators. This policy outlines the terms governing the use of Coins and the gifting feature.
1.1. Purchasing Coins: Users may purchase Coins using real-world money through authorized and trusted third-party payment processors. All transactions are processed by these third-party providers, and Amro does not directly collect or store your payment information. By purchasing Coins, you agree to abide by the terms and conditions of the respective payment processor. All sales of Coins are final, except as required by applicable law or as explicitly stated in our refund policy.
1.2. Gifting: Users can use Coins to send virtual gifts to content creators on the Amro platform. When a user sends a virtual gift, they should be aware of the specific post or creator to whom the gift is being sent. Virtual gifts represent a user's appreciation for content and do not confer any ownership rights over the gifted content or an entitlement to any specific response from the creator.
1.3. Ownership of Virtual Currency and Gifts: Coins and virtual gifts are purely digital items with no inherent monetary value outside of the Amro platform. You acknowledge that you do not 'own' the Coins or virtual gifts in a legal sense. Instead, you are granted a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use them within the Amro App solely for their intended purpose. Amro retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the Coins and virtual gifts. Coins and virtual gifts cannot be redeemed for real money or items of monetary value from Amro, except through the designated withdrawal process for accumulated gifts as described below.
1.4. Withdrawal of Accumulated Gifts: Content creators who receive virtual gifts may accumulate them and, subject to Amro's rules, may be eligible to withdraw a portion of their accumulated gifts as real-world money.
Withdrawal Thresholds: Minimum and maximum withdrawal thresholds will apply, which will be communicated within the app.
Commission: Amro will deduct a commission from the amount withdrawn by the user, which will be clearly stated at the time of withdrawal.
Withdrawal Process: The process for withdrawing accumulated gifts, including any required identity verification, will be detailed within the app. Amro reserves the right to modify withdrawal rules, thresholds, and commission rates at its sole discretion, with prior notice to users where required by law.
Finality of Withdrawal: All withdrawals are final once processed.
1.5. Refunds for Coin Purchases: Refunds for Coin purchases are generally not available, as all sales are final. However, if a refund is permitted, it will be processed according to the terms of the third-party payment processor and Amro's internal policies, which will be communicated to the user. Users may be able to withdraw their accumulated gifts, which is distinct from a refund for the initial Coin purchase.
1.6. Prohibited Activities: Related to Virtual Currency and Gifting. To maintain the integrity of the gifting system, users are prohibited from engaging in any fraudulent or unauthorized transactions involving Coins or gifts. Attempting to hack, exploit, or manipulate the gifting system. Using Coins or gifts for any illegal or unethical purposes, including money laundering or financing terrorism. Transferring or selling Coins or gifts to other users outside of the official Amro platform. Violations of this policy may lead to immediate account suspension or termination, forfeiture of all Coins and accumulated gifts, and legal action if deemed necessary.

Dispute Resolution for Virtual Currency and Gifting
Any disputes concerning Coin purchases, gifting transactions, or withdrawals should first be directed to Amro's support team as outlined in the 'Contact and Support' section. Amro will investigate such claims in good faith and aim to resolve them promptly. Users should provide all relevant information, including transaction details and any supporting evidence, to facilitate the resolution process. Amro is not responsible for disputes between users arising from gifting.
General Provisions
1.1. Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that these Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect and enforceable.
1.2. Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Amro on the App, constitute the entire agreement between you and Amro regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior or contemporaneous communications, agreements, and understandings, whether written or oral, regarding the subject matter hereof.
1.3. Force Majeure: Amro shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms where such failure or delay is due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including, without limitation, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargoes, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
1.4. Accessibility: Amro is committed to making its platform accessible to all users. We are actively working to improve the accessibility of our App to meet relevant accessibility standards. If you encounter any accessibility barriers or have suggestions for improvement, please contact our support team.
Updates to Terms
As Amro evolves, so too may its Terms and Conditions. Users will be notified of significant updates through in-app notifications or email. Continued use of the platform after any such changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
